TransCanada

Hey there!

I am 33 years old, had some experience living and working in Canada, Europe and Russia. I do have extensive list of hobbies, mostly outdoors, from Geocaching to biking, paragliding, survival trips. University educated, had to abandon my career in purchasing two years ago due to family matters.

Now I plan to begin a life-time adventure. I want to assemble a motorized bicycle and ride across Canada from Montreal to Vancouver. The agenda makes this trip unique.

1. I would like to further study the native cultural rituals of trans meditation among aboriginals and compare them to those practiced in Siberia and Urals. Maybe the outcome could be a transcontinental bridge which would connect people with similar interests.
2. I would do extensive geocaching on my way (www.geocaching.com) to come across the geo spots which are visited frequently by fellow geocachers, concentrating on those spots which have historic meanings or are closely linked to aboriginal people.
3. I would use the transportation which I plan to build myself from a suitable cruise bicycle and a kit from www.bikeengines.com. I already built two in Europe so I do have experience and I think this is not just eco-friendly transport, but also the most fun to ride. Also, as I do have an artificial limb myself, I would like to promote the active outdoor access to younger people in similar conditions and to show that some technical gadgets can really take them to the edge.

I would launch a blog of this trip to cover the adventure. I plan to be in Montreal, Canada in may and would start the trip early in July.
Also, I would welcome those who are interested to participate in this adventure or lead the discussion how it can be upleveled or what other agenda points it might include.

AND I am looking forward to meet people interested in this idea, as I would like to get either a job or a sustainable life-style afterwards. Maybe instructor for kids with similar interests and challenges, maybe promoting the links between aboriginal people on cultural issues, may something that you can tell me. Please forward this message to everyone you think would be interested in participating, supporting or discussing the event!
